Bread Making and Fermentation Class

Sourdough Bread

Come and learn how to improve your health through the foods you eat with ferments!

Did you know there are 10x more micro-organisms than our own human cells? Micro-organisms out number human cells 100:1, making us 1% human. For every 1 message our brain sends to the gut, 9 messages are sent to the brain. Our gut is considered our second brain. The microbiome is the control center for the entire body as they communicate with our mitochondria.   These messages control our response to stress, brain hormone production, activation of the immune system, the growth of new cells and the neuroplasticity or the adaptability of our brain cells.  Our microbiome is unique to us because of our genes, the food we eat and the environment around us.

We will discuss the importance of the microbiome, how we can support it, learn to make fermented bread and other foods. Class will be held at my home in Fairview on Saturday, November 12th at 12 noon. Cost is $15. Lunch will be served and you will get to take home a natural yeast starter to make your own bread with recipes. Send me a message if you are interested in joining us through my contact page. 12 spots available for the class.
